SACAA WEBSITE
This is the official website for the South African Civil Aviation Authority.

It will stand you in good stead to get to know this website. Here are the most important parts for you: All the forms you need for pilot licensing, notice of change of address, (remember you must give this notice within 14 days of moving), access the up to date CAT's and CARS free of charge, and access the AIP's, AIP Sups and AIC's online !

Although you can access the NOTAMS from this site as well, they are not always up to date and you have to wade through EVERYTHING. It it far more efficient to use the source site for these through ATNS's site :
RAASA WEBSITE
This is the official website for the Recreational Aviation Administration - South Africa.
They regulate recreational flying and are answerable to the SACAA.
They tend to be far more efficient than the CAA in terms of service delivery.
RAASA handles NPL -LSA (National Pilot Licens - Light Sport Aircraft). If you hold an NPL-LSA, you may fly any three axis aircraft you are rated on, up to a maximum all-up weight of 600kg.
